White Paper on Singapore Women’s Development: Wan Rizal on supporting women’s career aspirations

Bring forward the implementation of guidelines on flexible work arrangements (FWAs) from 2024, and look into accrediting companies that support FWAs and have concrete policies to help women re-entering the workforce. These suggestions were made by MP Wan Rizal in Parliament on Tuesday (Apr 5). He also urged greater support for children’s well-being so that mothers can have peace of mind to focus on work, especially those in low-income families, single parents or women in the process of divorcing. He proposed having more child-minding or student care services in schools or in areas with low-income households.
