Wildlife groups advise against buying exotic snakes in Year of the Snake

Wildlife rescue group ACRES has advised people against buying exotic snakes on impulse, especially since this is the Year of the Snake according to the Chinese calendar. Its Animal Crime Investigation Unit received 15 tip-offs on people owning or selling them last year compared to four in 2023 – and this could be just the tip of the iceberg. Rachel Teng with more.
