Health authorities in Singapore are doing more to ensure patients with tuberculosis complete their treatment so as to prevent drug resistance. The TB control unit is recommending more home visits and video calls, and partnering social workers more effectively to help vulnerable patients. Around 1,200 TB cases were detected last year, 50 fewer than in 2022. The update comes ahead of World Tuberculosis Day on Mar 24.
