Yip Hon Weng on Private Security Industry (Amendment) Bill
It is is "ironic" that despite our reliance on security officers for safety, they command little respect and recognition for their work, said MP Yip Hon Weng. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Oct 5), he called for change to ensure that security officers are better protected and trained. He also stressed the need to prevent haphazard designation of work which is unrelated to the job scope of security officers.
