Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim on Administration of Muslim Law (Amendment) Bill

The changes proposed under the Administration of Muslim Law (Amendment) Bill are in line with the broader development of family law under the Women's Charter, said MP Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim. Speaking in Parliament on Monday (Feb 14), he said digital processes will allow the Syariah Court and Registry of Muslim Marriages to leverage technology to coordinate services and access to stay prepared for future challenges. It will also help to build greater resilience in the delivery of services by the Syariah Court. He suggested ways to improve the court's processes and services, and sought clarifications on several aspects of the Bill.
