Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim on Constitution and Penal Code Amendment Bills relating to Section 377A
The Government should engage with parents and educators on how to navigate the aftermath of the repeal of Section 377A and provide support or counselling that may be faith- or value-based, said MP Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim in Parliament on Monday (Nov 28). He said mosque and Muslim organisation leaders have also asked for clearer guidelines or capability training on the issue. Mr Zhulkarnain added that it will be important to preserve the freedom of conscience in schools, businesses and religious institutions so that Singaporeans are free to practise their faith, or otherwise, without fear of cancellation or reprisals.
