Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim on COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Amendment No. 4) Bill

The COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Amendment No. 4) Bill sets out the rental relief framework for tenants so that an assessor can efficiently determine the rental waiver allocations between landlords and tenants. It also ensures fair co-sharing of rental obligations, said MP Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Sep 14), he sought clarifications on the Bill. One relates to tenants who are elderly and may not be IT-savvy. He wanted to know how the Law Ministry will provide guidance and assistance to such tenants.
