SINGAPORE: After nearly three hours of talks in Alaska, United States President Donald Trump and Russia's Vladimir Putin ended their summit on Friday (Aug 15) without a concrete deal on the war in Ukraine.

Trump stressed that "no deal" had been reached, while Putin reiterated Moscow's position that what Russia claims to be the "root causes" of the conflict must be eliminated to achieve long-term peace.
