Russia is facing increasing isolation on Tuesday (Mar 1) as President Vladimir Putin showed no signs of stopping an invasion of Ukraine, now into a sixth day.

Ukraine's second largest city Kharkiv was bombarded by Russian artillery as talks to resolve the conflict failed to make a breakthrough. Officials said the attacks in Kharkiv killed civilians, including children.

Nations have imposed sanctions on Russia's top businesses, oligarchs and officials, including Putin, in response to the conflict.
