South Australia on where to take full advantage of Adelaide’s surprising cocktail revolution
Words: Phin Wong
When you think “cool cocktail scene”, one does not immediately think “Adelaide”. In fact, if one is being honest, Adelaide might not make the list at all. New York, Berlin, Melbourne, Hong Kong? Hell, yeah. Adelaide? Erm … I hear the kangaroos are lovely?
That’s the thing about Adelaide. It tends to surprise you seeing as most of us know so little about it.

Peel Street Restaurant, cocktails at Pink Moon Saloon, steak at Udaberri, burgers at Bread & Bone. It's a good time.
Ying Chow fan. This is a late night cheap Chinese food institution on Gouger Street. Otherwise, I try and get to Central Market before work and take fresh ingredients home for a late night cook up.
