Prasanthi will talk about this debut work of fiction which comprises interlinked stories about a multigenerational Tamil Brahmin family - tracing the lives of nine women from 1950 all the way to 2019. She’ll highlight some of the stories that will take the reader from India to Singapore, Australia and even America. “Nine Yard Sarees” won the Singapore Literature Prize in 2024.
