In ‘Made in SG’ Melanie Oliveiro speaks with the co-founders of Singapore independent rock band Emperor Niño. Ethan Chan and Manisha Saigal – who formed the band in 2024 – will talk about how their music addresses environmental issues around the world, in particular what’s happening to the planet’s mountains and subterranea like sinking lands and melting glaciers. Saigal and Chan will describe the recording process for their debut album “Sedimentary Blues” and how it was completed despite both members being in different continents. True to their environmental beliefs, Emperor Niño describe pressing their debut album in BioVinyl format - PVC vinyl made from biomass materials.
