CNA938 Rewind - Hope, comfort, and care: Inside Singapore’s first children’s palliative ward
A dedicated children’s palliative ward has opened at Sengkang Community Hospital under the in-patient programme called Cocoon, aimed at caring for children up to age 16 with complex medical conditions – not necessarily end-of-life care – and supporting their families. The programme is backed by a S$4.7 million grant from the Lien Foundation to train healthcare professionals in paediatric palliative care, aiming to equip around 200 professionals by 2028.
