In her final year of law school, Frances Tan made a pivotal decision to pursue her dream of becoming a singer-songwriter. In 2026, Frances' song "Just Me" represented Singapore in the Commonwealth Song Contest, and emerged as one of seven finalists — even scoring the top song in the Public Vote category. Frances, who is pursuing a Masters in entertainment and media law at UCLA, shares the challenges she overcame in order to forge her own path in music, and what she'd say in her letter to her younger self.
