In ‘Made in SG’, Melanie Oliveiro speaks with Arthur Kiong, the local hospitality veteran who has spent almost 40 years in the industry, and counting. Kiong – who will retire from Far East Hospitality in end 2025 – will recall his days: from a management trainee in the 1980s who later moved up the ranks working for several international hotel brands, to the CEO and then Managing Director of Far East Hospitality - a homegrown hotel group. Kiong will also talk about his stint in broadcasting – reminiscing about his time as a radio announcer and DJ at the then Singapore Broadcasting Corporation’s Radio 1 station.
