Singapore’s 15-year-old gymnast Amanda Yap finished sixth in the balance beam final at the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Jakarta, scoring a personal best of 13.333. She became the first Singaporean to reach a world final. All this while balancing her O-level exams, flying between Singapore and Indonesia to compete.
