Singapore’s number of permanent jobs has hit a record high, according to the latest Ministry of Manpower (MOM) data. At the same time, the labour force participation rate – the share of residents working or looking for work – has fallen to its lowest since the pandemic. The drop is mainly driven by a growing share of seniors, who typically have lower participation rates.
