Just days ago, the reading entered the Unhealthy range for the first time due to haze since October 2023, hitting 101 in the central region on Friday morning. Demand for appliances promising cleaner, cooler air is surging, with one retailer reporting a 70 per cent jump in air purifier sales in just a week. But can air purifiers protect you indoors? And, what does it actually mean when Singapore’s PSI enters the unhealthy range?
