As the conflict in the Middle East drags on and the Strait of Hormuz – which sees one-fifth of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas pass through – largely blocked, onshore fuel oil inventories are retreating. While Singapore still has supplies to last for months, the authorities continue to monitor the situation and have different contingency plans for different scenarios.
