Antony Blinken met China’s Foreign Minister Qin Gang in Beijing — the first visit by a US Secretary of State to China in almost five years. But ties are so strained and Chinese suspicions so high, that neither is expecting a major breakthrough. Asia First’s Arnold Gay and Andrea Heng hear from Orville Schell, Arthur Ross Director of the Center on US-China Relations at Asia Society, who tells us if the most important objective of Blinken’s visit has been achieved.
