Daily Cuts - Can Singaporeans be trusted to pay for plastic bags?

From today, it’s official that supermarkets will charge you 5 cents for every plastic bag you use. One supermarket chain is banking on the honesty of shoppers, particularly at the self-checkout counters — customers will be responsible for inputting the number of bags they use!
