In ‘Made in SG’, Melanie Oliveiro speaks with Zhakyra Binte Zulkiflee and Chong Ya Hui, winners of the *SCAPE Singapore Youth Film Festival. The LASALLE College of the Arts students will discuss their film “Sacred Cow”. It’s about how a cow mysteriously appears in a migrant workers’ dormitory, leaving the dwellers confused. Murthi, their lorry driver, discovers an uncanny connection between the mysterious calf and his deceased best friend, Murugan. Zhakyra and Ya Hui will talk about their shared beliefs spotlighting the stories of migrant workers in Singapore and how the production of “Sacred Cow” was fraught with challenges.
