6 Malaysian states will be heading to the polls very soon. The vote is on 12 Aug, but tomorrow, 29 July, candidates will file their nomination papers, before starting their campaigning. Observers say the state polls will be a test of support for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's unity government. Selangor is the biggest state with more than 3.7 million residents. It’s expected to be most fiercely fought, with the outcome closely scrutinised.
