Daily Cuts - SGH using AI to predict surgery risk

Singapore General Hospital has developed an artificial intelligence (AI) tool to help doctors predict the risks of surgery, they're calling it Combined Assessment of Risk Encountered in Surgery-Machine Learning, or CARES-ML for short. It's able to suggest levels of care you need and predict possible complications you might face post-surgery. We speak to Associate Professor Hairil Rizal, Senior Consultant, Anaesthesiology, SGH to find out how reliable this new system really is.
