Daily Cuts - Teacher awarded for helping students become gentlemen

Mr Poh Wei Beng is one of eight recipients of this year's (2023) President's Award for Teachers. Mr Poh, who is HOD (Student Management), St. Gabriel’s Secondary School, introduced the Gabrielite Gentlemen Primer — a fortnightly series of mini lessons which illustrate what it takes to be a gentleman. We find out how this programme has resulted in a drop in late-comers and an increased attentiveness to personal grooming.
