The world-acclaimed performer will talk about his early days, his debut recital at NYC’s prestigious Lincoln Center in 1975, life as a student at Juilliard, his recordings of works spanning 400 years of music, and how he nurtures gifted pianos of tomorrow. Joselson will also talk about his upcoming concerts “Joselson: Brahms — The Two Piano Concertos” on 16 June in support of youth causes.

Daily Cuts - A to D Nutri-Grade label to be extended to salt, sauces, instant noodles and cooking oil

The government will implement a mandatory nutrition label for packaged salt, sauces and seasonings, instant noodles and cooking oil. These items identified are key sources of sodium and saturated fat intake among Singapore residents. The move comes as there is an increasing prevalence of hypertension, or high blood pressure, and hyperlipidaemia, which is also known as high blood cholesterol.  Andrea Heng and Hairianto Diman examine the effectiveness of such labels and whether they provide incentive for producers to improve and innovate their products to achieve better gradings with Terence Ng, Director, Policy & Strategy Development, Health Promotion Board
