SG Stories - S1E8: Anitha Devi Pillai, author, poet, and applied linguist

Anitha Devi Pillai is an author, poet, applied linguist and educator at the National Institute of Education, whose poems have made their way to classrooms around the world. Her literary flair could have come from her mother, who wrote the historical work titled “Sembawang: A Novel (2020)” — a finalist for the Singapore Book Publishers Association’s Best Literary Work 2021, as well as the Singapore History Prize organised by the National University of Singapore. Anitha tells CNA938’s Eugene Loh about the  inspiration behind her literary works.
