Taiwanese celebrity Alien Huang dies at 36, body discovered at home

His manager confirmed the news and said the cause of death will be revealed at a later time.

Taiwanese celebrity Alien Huang, also known as Xiao Gui (Little Ghost), has died. His death was reported by Taiwanese media on Wednesday (Sep 16). 

Huang was 36 years old.

According to ETtoday, his body was found in his home in Beitou district, Taipei, by a family member.

Huang’s manager confirmed the news and said the cause of death will be announced later.

He was best known for hosting variety shows such as 100% Entertainment with Show Luo, and Mr Player with Jacky Wu. He was also a singer and actor.

Just a day before his death was announced, Huang had posted a clip on his Instagram Story of himself playing with his dog.

Local actress Michelle Chong paid tribute to Huang on her Instagram page on Wednesday. She posted several photos of herself with the star with the caption: “You will forever, in my heart, be my first ever leading man”. 


Other local celebrities also posted their reactions to the news, such as Chew Chor Meng, Lee Teng, Andie Chen and wife Kate Pang. Both Pang and Lee hail from Taiwan.
