Budget 2021 debate: Yeo Wan Ling on support for women in workforce

In Parliament on Wednesday (Feb 24), MP Yeo Wan Ling said an immediate hike in petrol duties would compound the challenges already faced by female cabbies in juggling work, caregiving and self-care. She raised the possibility of introducing respite care to alleviate the burden on female workers. She also spoke on the need for a safe workplace, including fair hiring practices, good work-life harmony and employee development policies.
