Ideally, you've someone who comes prepared ... in the day-to-day bustle of life, your boss has 101 things (to do) ... so it's not possible to keep track of everyone's highlights ... So if you've your own ledger (that's good).
Put aside the emotions or the perception that (you) might have of a certain behaviour and write down what needs to be changed ... It's really important for managers to step in and say 'I'm here with you ... let's work on this together'.
