The recent accident in Tampines which killed two people has raised questions about Singapore's driving culture. Speeding, beating red lights and drink driving are still stubborn issues.

Bernard Tay, chairman of the Singapore Road Safety Council  and Julian Kho, general manager at Sgcarmart tell Steven Chia and Crispina Robert what needs to change.

Bernard Tay, chairman of Singapore Road Safety Council on the limits of increased enforcement:
Enforcement can (only work) up to a point. If people continue to drive with no regard for themselves or others, then the roads will be unsafe.
Julian Kho, general manager at Sgcarmart on poor road behaviours:
It really stems from the drivers (and their) attitude ... I know of people who are really nice when they're not driving, but when they're behind the wheel, they're completely different people.
