12 new Covid-19 cases in Singapore, all imported
SINGAPORE — Singapore reported 12 new cases of Covid-19 on Friday (Nov 13), all of which were imported. There were no cases in the wider community.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) said that a majority of the cases have no symptoms.
The 12 fresh cases include one Singaporean who returned from France and two permanent residents who arrived from India and the United States.
Another three are work pass holders, two are work permit holders and three are dependent’s pass holders.
MOH said that the work pass holders had arrived from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.
The work permit holders came from Indonesia and Myanmar.
The remaining case is a long-term visit pass holder who came from the Netherlands.
All of the travellers were placed on stay-home notices upon their arrival in Singapore where they were tested for the coronavirus.
Overall, the number of new cases in the community has remained low, with a total of one case in the past week. The one case has no known links yet to past cases, MOH said.
UPDATES ON REMAINING CASES
The total number of infections in Singapore now stands at 58,114.
Of these, 58,008 people have fully recovered and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities, including six on Friday.
There are still 50 patients in hospitals and most are in stable condition or improving. No one is in intensive care.
Another 28 patients are isolated and being cared for at community facilities. They have mild symptoms or are clinically well but still tested positive for Covid-19.
Twenty-eight people have died from complications due to Covid-19.
