2 new Covid-19 cases in Singapore, both imported
SINGAPORE — Singapore reported two new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday (Nov 14), both of which were imported.
The two cases are:
- A 41-year-old female Indonesian Work Permit Holder who arrived from Indonesia
- A 35-year-old French national and a Short-Term Visit Pass holder who arrived from France to visit his fiancee here
Both were asymptomatic and had all been placed on stay-home notices upon arrival in Singapore and then tested for Covid-19, said the Ministry of Health (MOH) in an update on Saturday evening.
Overall, the number of new cases in the community has remained low, with a total of one case in the past week. The one case has no known links yet to past cases, MOH said.
UPDATES ON REMAINING CASES
The total number of Covid-19 cases in Singapore now stands at 58,116.
Of these, 58,019 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities, including 11 on Saturday.
"There are currently 47 confirmed cases who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and none is in the intensive care unit," said MOH.
Another 22 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for Covid-19.
Twenty-eight people have died from complications due to Covid-19 infection.
