3 new Covid-19 infections in Singapore, with 2 imported cases and 1 in foreign worker dorm
SINGAPORE — A one-year-old baby girl with travel history to the United Arab Emirates was among the three cases of Covid-19 infections reported in Singapore on Monday (Oct 26). She is one of two imported cases — the other a 21-year-old Frenchman who is a student’s pass holder.
The third case reported on Monday is a migrant worker staying in a dormitory who was detected through the Government's fortnightly testing of workers. There are no cases in the wider community.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) said on Monday that all three fresh cases have no symptoms.
Overall, the number of new cases in the community has gone down from four cases in the week before to two in the past week.
The number of cases with no known links in the community has remained stable at two cases a week in the past fortnight.
UPDATES ON REMAINING CASES
The total number of infections in Singapore now stands at 57,973.
Of these, 57,879 people have fully recovered and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities, including 21 on Monday.
There are still 43 patients in hospitals and most are in stable condition or improving. No one is in intensive care.
Another 23 patients are isolated and being cared for at community facilities. They have mild symptoms or are clinically well but still tested positive for Covid-19.
Twenty-eight people have died from complications due to Covid-19.
