5 new Covid-19 cases detected among travellers who entered Singapore
SINGAPORE — Singapore on Monday (Nov 23) reported five new cases of Covid-19, all of which were imported. There are no cases in the wider community for the 13th day in a row.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) said that all the cases have no symptoms.
They are a 16-year-old Singaporean girl who returned from India as well as three work permit holders who arrived from Indonesia and a 58-year-old Frenchman who arrived here for a work project.
They were all placed on stay-home notices or isolated upon their arrival in Singapore.
Overall, the number of new cases in the community has remained low with no new cases reported in the past week, the ministry said.
UPDATES ON REMAINING CASES
The total number of infections in Singapore now stands at 58,165.
Of these, 58,071 people have fully recovered and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities, including four on Monday.
There are still 36 patients in hospitals and most are in stable condition or improving, aside from one who is in intensive care.
Another 30 patients are isolated and being cared for at community facilities. They have mild symptoms or are clinically well but still tested positive for Covid-19.
Twenty-eight people have died from complications due to the disease.
