SINGAPORE — Three more people have died from complications due to Covid-19, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said on Thursday (Oct 7).

Two of them were men and one was a woman.

The three — all of whom were Singaporeans — were aged between 57 and 90, MOH said in its daily update on the coronavirus situation here.

Two of them had been vaccinated against Covid-19 and the other was unvaccinated.

“All of them had various underlying medical conditions,” it added, without indicating when they were infected with Covid-19 or died.

In total, 136 people here have died from complications after contracting the coronavirus, including 35 this month alone.

This means that more than 25 per cent of all Covid-19-related deaths in Singapore occurred in the first week of this month alone.

MOH on Thursday reported 3,483 new cases of infection in Singapore, with 2,783 in the community, 692 in migrant worker dormitories and eight that were imported.

This brought Singapore’s total number of coronavirus cases logged since the start of the pandemic last year to 116,864.
