7 new Covid-19 cases in Singapore, all imported
SINGAPORE — Singapore reported seven new cases of Covid-19 on Sunday (Dec 13), all of which were imported.
There were no new cases of locally transmitted infection, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said.
Sunday marked the eighth consecutive day of zero community cases.
All seven imported cases had no symptoms, and had already been placed on stay-home notice upon arrival in Singapore.
One is a Singapore permanent resident who returned from India.
Another five are currently employed in Singapore. Of these, one is a work pass holder who came from India and four are work permit holders who arrived from the Philippines, Indonesia and India.
The remaining case is a dependant’s pass holder who arrived from Indonesia.
The total number of infections in Singapore now stands at 58,320.
In all, 58,208 have fully recovered from the infection, including 11 who were discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities on Sunday.
Twenty-one patients are still in hospital. Most are stable or improving, and none is in the intensive care unit.
Another 62 with mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for Covid-19, are isolated at community facilities.
Twenty-nine people have died from complications due to Covid-19 infection.
