7 new Covid-19 infections in Singapore, all imported
SINGAPORE — Singapore reported seven new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday (Nov 7), all of which were imported. There were no cases in the community, said the Ministry of Health.
Two of the imported cases were Singaporeans — a 59-year-old woman who returned from Britain, and a 46-year-old man who returned from Canada. Another is a permanent resident, a 55-year-old woman, who returned from South Korea.
The four other imported cases comprise one work pass holder, one work permit holder, and two short-term visit pass holders. They had travel history to the Netherlands, Britain, Ukraine and Malaysia.
All seven cases had been placed on stay-home notice upon arrival in Singapore, MOH said.
UPDATES ON REMAINING CASES
The total number of infections in Singapore now stands at 58,054.
Of these, 57,968 people have fully recovered and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities, including nine on Saturday.
There are still 34 patients in hospitals and most are in stable condition or improving. No one is in intensive care.
Another 24 patients are isolated and being cared for at community facilities. They have mild symptoms or are clinically well but still tested positive for Covid-19.
Twenty-eight people have died from complications due to Covid-19.
