71-year-old motorcyclist dies in hit-and-run accident in Bedok

SINGAPORE — A 71-year-old motorcyclist died in a hit-and-run accident along New Upper Changi Road in Bedok on Wednesday (March 31) night.
The police told TODAY that they were alerted to the accident along the major road, in the direction of Changi Road, at 8.05pm on Wednesday. It involved a car and a motorcycle.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said that its crew took two people to Changi General Hospital in Simei.
The 71-year-old motorcyclist was unconscious when taken to the hospital, where he later died. His passenger, a 69-year-old woman, was conscious on the way to hospital.
Investigations are continuing.
