SINGAPORE — The Ministry of Health (MOH) on Sunday (Aug 16) reported 86 new cases of Covid-19, including six imported and two in the community.
Of the six imported cases, one is a Singaporean who returned to Singapore from Indonesia on Aug 4.

The remaining case is a student’s pass holder who arrived from Russia on Aug 4.
All of them had been placed on 14-day stay-home notice upon arrival in Singapore, and were serving their notices at dedicated facilities. They had been tested while serving their notices.
The two community infections are contacts of previously confirmed cases and had been tested while they were under quarantine.
One is a technician who had boarded a vessel that had arrived in Singapore from India which carried 15 infected Filipino crew.
The technician, a 47-year-old Malaysian national, was on the vessel on Aug 9 to carry out essential repair and maintenance work, MOH said.
He is the second technician to be infected, after a Filipino work pass holder was confirmed with the infection on Saturday.
The other community case is a 48-year-old Singaporean who is linked to an earlier case.
MOH said that the number of new cases in the community has remained stable at an average of two per day in the past two weeks.
The number of unlinked cases in the community has also remained stable at an average of one per day in the past two weeks.
The other 78 cases are work permit holders residing in dormitories.
MOH said there are currently about 19,900 workers who are still serving out their quarantine period.
"These workers will be tested when their quarantine ends, and we expect the case counts to remain high in the coming days, before tapering down thereafter," the ministry added.
Sunday also saw 432 more patients discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities, raising the total number of those who have fully recovered to 51,953.
There are 82 patients who are still in hospital, and none is in the intensive care unit. Another 3,685 who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive, are isolated at community facilities.
