Car plunges into drain, bonnet-first

A car crashed into a drain before coming to rest in a vertical position yesterday in an accident along the Pan-Island Expressway towards Changi, near the Tampines Avenue 5 exit. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the accident at 10.45am. A man in his 60s and a woman in her 50s were taken to Changi General Hospital, said the SCDF.
