SINGAPORE — Changi Airport is tops again.

For the third year running, Singapore’s Changi Airport has been voted the World’s Best Airport by air travellers, beating other airports such as Incheon International Airport and Munich Airport.

This is the sixth time the airport has bagged the coveted title.

And this year, Changi Airport also took the Best Airport for Leisure Amenities. The choice and availability of leisure and entertainment facilities such as the music bar lounges, cinemas, music deck, swimming pool, napping and rest areas and the in-terminal Transit Hotel, helped clinch the award. Travellers with time to spare can also take a free sightseeing Singapore Tour.

The awards were announced at the prestigious 2015 World Airport Awards held in Paris, France.

The awards are based on a global airport customer satisfaction survey, which includes 13.02 million customer nominations and from 550 airports worldwide. The survey evaluates customer satisfaction across 39 key performance indicators ranging from check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security and immigration to departure at the gate.

Chief Executive of Changi Airport Group Lee Seow Hiang said: “This recognition is particularly pleasing for us as it comes at a time of transformation for Changi Airport. We are undertaking a number of significant development projects including Terminal 4 and Jewel Changi Airport, with some works taking place amid ongoing airport operations. We are most grateful to all our passengers and partners who have, nonetheless, continued to give us their strongest support.”

In addition, Crowne Plaza Changi Airport has also been named World’s Best Airport Hotel and Best Airport Hotel in Asia.
