SINGAPORE — The Certificate of Entitlement (COE) quota from November to January next year remained largely unchanged from this quarter, with 21,653 such certificates being released into the market, announced the Land Transport Authority today (Oct 15).

Overall, there was a dip in supply, as compared to the August to October period, with 192 fewer COEs available in the next three months. This was mainly led by a drop in the number of COEs in the big car, motorcycle and Open categories.

Category B, which is for cars above 1600cc or 97kW, will have 2,049 COEs monthly, down 2.98 per cent from the 2,112 this quarter.

There will be fewer motorcycle COEs, with 654 COEs allocated monthly from November to next January, a 7.88 per cent fall from the current period.

In the Open Category, which can be used for any vehicle type but is usually used for big cars, there will be 720 COEs monthly, down slightly from the 722 available this quarter.

Category A, which is for cars of up to 1600cc and 97kW, will see a monthly quota of 3,313 COEs, up 1.22 per cent from the 3,373 currently.

And in the commercial vehicles category, there will be 481 COEs in the next quarter, up 32 per cent from the 364 available now.
