Covid-19: Fully vaccinated employee of FairPrice supermarket at Woodlands tests positive
NTUC FairPrice said that all staff members at its supermarket outlet at Champion Courts, 570B Woodlands Avenue 1, have been placed on leave of absence and will undergo swab tests.
SINGAPORE — An employee at an NTUC FairPrice supermarket located along Woodlands Avenue 1 has tested positive for Covid-19, the supermarket chain said in a Facebook post on Tuesday (May 18).
The staff member was found to have been infected on Tuesday and has been quarantined.
She had received both doses of the vaccine earlier in the year and is now being treated at a medical facility.
FairPrice said that all staff members at the Champions Court outlet at 570B Woodlands Avenue 1 have been placed on leave of absence and will undergo swab tests.
The supermarket will also be closed from Tuesday to Wednesday for deep cleaning before reopening on Thursday.
“We are rendering the necessary assistance to the staff and her family during this time,” it said in the Facebook post.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to assure you that we are sparing no effort to protect our customers and staff so that we can continue to shop and work in a safe and healthy environment.”
