SINGAPORE — For more than two hours this morning (Jan 13), some StarHub customers were unable to make 4G voice calls because of a faulty piece of network equipment, the telco said.
Services were resumed before noon, it added. When asked how many subscribers were affected, StarHub declined to comment.
In its statement, StarHub said some of its customers in “certain areas faced temporary difficulty in making outgoing 4G voice calls” from 9.30am.
“We immediately looked into this, and before 12 noon on the same day, we had fully restored our 4G voice service for these users by rectifying a faulty piece of network equipment,” it said.
“All our other mobile voice and data services remain unaffected,” the telco said, adding that affected subscribers were advised to make outgoing voice calls by setting their phones to 3G or 2G.
In November, an eight-hour service outage left some of StarHub’s customers without access to 3G voice call and data services.
