Fire breaks out at Marsiling flat; No one injured

SINGAPORE — Around 20 residents from an HDB block in Marsiling Lane 3 were evacuated on Tuesday morning (May 3) after a fire broke out at an 11th floor unit, said the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
No injuries were reported from the fire, which was extinguished using a water jet, the SCDF added.
SCDF was alerted to the incident at about 11.25am. Two fire engines, a red rhino, two firebikes, a support vehicle and an ambulance were dispatched to Block 215 Marsiling Lane 3.
Upon arrival, SCDF personnel had to forcibly gain entry into the unit. The fire was contained mainly in the living room.
