Former Tanjong Pagar Railway Station open to public on Deepavali

SINGAPORE — The former Tanjong Pagar Railway Station will open its doors again to the public next Tuesday (Nov 10) for Deepavali.
The iconic site will be open from 9am to 6pm, said the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) today (Nov 5).
The public are encouraged to take photographs or draw their impressions of the historical building and railway platforms. Drawings can be deposited at the ticketing counter in TPRS and may be displayed at future openings.
To help preserve the national monument, the following activities will not be allowed within the premises: Busking, commercial activities, sports activities, including wheeled sports such as cycling and roller blading, littering, smoking and consumption of alcoholic drinks.
Pets will also not be allowed into the site, with the exception of guide dogs.
