Gardens by the Bay, 3 hawker centres among places visited by Covid-19 cases while infectious

SINGAPORE — The Ministry of Health (MOH) on Saturday (April 17) added several more locations, including Gardens by the Bay, various hawker centres and eateries, as well as a canteen at the National University of Singapore (NUS) that was visited three days in a row, to a list of public places that had been visited by Covid-19 cases during their infectious period.
In its evening update on the coronavirus situation in Singapore, MOH said that the infectious persons had visited:
- Whampoa Hawker Centre on April 6 between 12.30pm and 1pm
- Wheeler's Yard at 28 Lorong Ampas on April 6 between 1.05pm and 1.55pm
- The Flower Dome and Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay on April 7 between 3pm and 5.35pm
- Al Barakah Health and Beauty Mart at Boon Lay Shopping Centre on April 8 between 11.35am and 12.10pm
- 84 Marine Parade Central Market and Food Centre on April 9 between 12pm and 1.30pm
- Marine Parade Public Library on April 9 between 1.55pm and 3.10pm
- Penny University at 402 East Coast Road on April 9 between 3.05pm and 4.05pm
- Bollywood Veggies at 100 Neo Tiew Road on April 10 between 10.05am and 10.35am
- Poison Ivy Bistro at Bollywood Veggies on April 10 between 10.35am and 1.05pm
- Woon Leng Nursery at 70 Jalan Lekar on April 10 between 1.20pm and 1.50pm
- Leong Ji Seafood at 658 Punggol East on April 10 between 7pm and 8pm
- The Bedok Marketplace at 348 Bedok Road on April 11 between 6.30pm and 9pm
- Bukit Panjang Hawker Centre and Market on April 12 between 11.30am and 1.30pm
- Fitness First Platinum at 321 Clementi on April 13 between 5.45pm and 7pm
- Techno Edge Canteen at NUS Information Technology on April 13, 14 and 15, between 1pm and 2pm on all three days
MOH said that it would have already notified individuals who were identified as close contacts of the confirmed cases.
"As a precautionary measure, persons who had been at these locations during the specified timings should monitor their health closely for 14 days from their date of visit," it added.
"They should see a doctor promptly if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection (such as cough, sore throat and runny nose), as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor of their exposure history."
Individuals may also access the SafeEntry Location Matching Self-Check service via the TraceTogether mobile application, SingPass app, or at https://wereyouthere.safeentry.gov.sg to check whether they were at these locations during the specified timings, based on their own SafeEntry records.
Members of the public do not need to avoid places where confirmed cases of Covid-19 have been, MOH said.
The National Environment Agency will engage the management of the affected premises to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection.
On Saturday, MOH reported 39 new cases of Covid-19 in Singapore, four of them in the community. The remaining 35 were imported.
