SINGAPORE — Jetstar Asia will be the first low-cost carrier (LCC) to offer three return services a week from Singapore to Da Nang, said the airline in a press statement released last Friday (Nov 27).
Starting from last Friday, the carrier will operate three flights a week, on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, on the 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.
Jetstar Asia CEO Barathan Pasupathi, who flew on the inaugural Singapore-Da Nang flight last Friday evening, said: "Da Nang is just under three hours from Singapore and is the perfect getaway for the busy executive looking for the relaxing weekend golfing or beach combing. With this service, Da Nang will also be more accessible to Southeast Asian and Australian travellers through Changi Airport."
Da Nang is the second port in Vietnam that the LCC will be flying to after Ho Chi Minh City.
Jetstar Asia will also operate flights from Singapore to Indonesia's Palembang and Pekanbaru starting from Thursday (Dec 3) and Dec 10 respectively.
