Local icons on display to celebrate SG50

17 Jul 2015 04:18AM

Fifty local favourites and icons, such as a 6m-tall topiary display of a durian and the Dragon Playground, have been set up within Changi Airport to celebrate Singapore’s Golden Jubilee. Other highlights include giant replicas of dishes like chilli crab and roti prata, as well as topiaries of the Vanda Miss Joaquim and bumboats along the Singapore River. These displays will be at both the public and transit areas across the three terminals. They were created by the airport and eight of its partners and 12 pioneer airlines. Photos: Wee Teck Hian
